5 Easy Pumpkin Dog Treats

Easy to whip up, tasty to eat and great for dog tummies. This Halloween try these 5 easy pumpkin recipes that will help soothe your pet’s tummy while giving them something fun to eat:

1. Frozen Pumpkin Dog Treats:  

 

Ingredients:

1 cup plain yogurt

1 cup pumpkin puree

Directions:

Mix pumpkin and yogurt together in a bowl

Divide the mixture evenly into an ice tray or moulds

Freeze for 24 hours

Pop the treats out of the mould and put into a freezer bag for storage. 

2. Peanut Butter and Pumpkin Dog Treats:

 

 Ingredients:

2 cups flour

1 cup canned pumpkin

1/2 cup peanut butter 

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375°F

In a large bowl, mix together the pumpkin and peanut butter

Stir in the flour and combine the mixture into a dough

Roll out the dough onto a floured surface

Cut the dough into shapes with cookie cutter

Place the treats on a cookie sheet

Bake for 12-15 minutes

3. Banana Pumpkin Dog Treats: 

 

Ingredients:

3 cups whole wheat flour + extra for dusting counter

2 eggs

1 cup pumpkin puree

1 banana, mashed

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Mix eggs, banana and pumpkin together. Add flour and mix until all is   incorporated.

Dust surface with flour, then roll out dough to approximately 1/8″ and cut out   treats.

Place them on a baking sheet and bake for approximately 15-20 minutes.       Cool completely before giving to your pup!

4. Pumpkin Carrot Bites:

 

Ingredients:

3/4 cup canned pumpkin

1 egg, slightly beaten

1/4 cup shredded carrots

1 cup whole wheat flour

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 °F

Mix pumpkin, egg, carrots and flour in a large bowl until moistened. 

Roll the batter into small balls and place on a baking sheet. 

Bake for 30 - 35 minutes. And your pumpkin carrot bites are ready.

 

5. Pumpkin Apple Dog Treats:

 
Ingredients:
 

2 1/3 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup finely diced apple

1/2 cup pumpkin

1 egg

1/2 cup water

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Whisk together flour and baking powder until no lumps. Add diced apple,         pumpkin, egg, and water and stir until all ingredients are moistened.

Dust surface with flour, then roll out dough and use a cookie cutter to cut shapes.

Bake for about 25-30 minutes. Cool completely before sharing with your pup.
